Terms
Terms of service
These terms govern use of Mupolink. They are drafted for launch readiness and counsel review; jurisdiction-specific details remain to be confirmed.
Effective and last updated:
Eligibility and acceptance
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement to use Mupolink. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you use Mupolink for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.
Accounts
Provide accurate account information, keep credentials confidential, and notify us of suspected unauthorised access. Organisation portal access may require approval and may be limited by role or ward. You are responsible for activity through your account to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- submit unlawful, threatening, deceptive, discriminatory, infringing, or privacy-invasive content;
- map private or sensitive locations, identify people, or upload photos without an appropriate right to do so;
- fabricate reports, manipulate points, impersonate others, or interfere with planning data;
- probe, disrupt, reverse engineer where prohibited, bypass access controls, introduce malicious code, or misuse APIs;
- use Mupolink for surveillance, emergency dispatch, or decisions that could cause unlawful harm.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Mupolink a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for technical display, analyse, and share that content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, improve, and provide the service and its community and planner features. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except where copies must temporarily remain in backups or where retention is legally permitted or required.
You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit your content. You may remove content through available controls or by deleting your account, subject to the retention terms in our Privacy Policy.
Maps, AI, and safety
Maps, geocoding, community reports, locations, classifications, and planning views may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Verify conditions and property boundaries before acting. AI outputs are generated automatically, can be wrong, and are informational only—not professional arboricultural, engineering, legal, medical, or emergency advice.
Mupolink is not an emergency service. Do not rely on it for urgent hazards, dangerous trees, fires, flooding, crime, or threats to life or property. Contact the appropriate local emergency service or qualified professional. Avoid unsafe activity near roads, power lines, unstable trees, construction, or private property.
Mupolink intellectual property
Mupolink and its licensors retain rights in the service, software, design, branding, and content we provide. External map data, reference images, and source material may be subject to Mapbox, Wikimedia, Wikipedia, iNaturalist, or other provider terms and attribution requirements. These terms do not grant rights to use Mupolink trademarks.
Suspension, deletion, and availability
You may stop using Mupolink and may request account deletion. We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, address a material breach, comply with law, or discontinue a feature. Where practical and lawful, we will provide notice or an opportunity to address the issue. The service may change, be interrupted, or be unavailable, and no particular feature or uptime is guaranteed.
Disclaimers and responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Mupolink is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise that community data, maps, AI output, or the service will always be accurate, complete, secure, or uninterrupted. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the extent permitted by law, Mupolink and its operators will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable. Any limitation of liability must be interpreted consistently with mandatory law and does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited, including where applicable for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, or death or personal injury.
Governing law and disputes
The governing law, courts, responsible contracting entity, business address, and any required consumer dispute process are pending owner and counsel confirmation. Until confirmed, nothing in these terms removes mandatory protections or rights you have under applicable law.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as Mupolink changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required. Continued use after an update means acceptance only to the extent permitted by law.
